EY’s Data and Analytics (DnA) team has demonstrated success in delivering innovative solutions to clients across New Zealand and globally. Our growth in New Zealand is strong and we are continuing our work to build our teams in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
We are looking for a Cloud Data and Analytics Platform Architect and Technical Lead to join our team who will be working with our high-profile clients across both the public and private sectors and as a part of a broader DnA, Technology Consulting and EY teams to develop skills and to contribute to meaningful change for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
Your key responsibilities
Provide thought leadership on how our clients can leverage innovative cloud data and analytical technologies to deliver business value while translating complex requirements into innovative solution options that deliver value and align to our clients’ strategic objectives.- Lead teams to design and implement cloud data and analytics platforms for our clients.
- Analyse data growth and lead capacity/sizing activities to arrive at the most appropriate commercial and technical solution with the planning, budgeting, and mobilisation of projects.
- Provide day to day technical leadership, management and mentorship to the junior members of the delivery team.
- Collaborate with solution design and business requirements teams to identify data requirements.
- Support other team members through peer reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical training.
- Lead or support the development of proposals and statements of work, cost estimation, and other business development initiatives.

Strong knowledge of leading practices in cloud platform architecture design, and platform security.- Proven knowledge and expertise of design and implementing Cloud Data Platforms using Snowflake and AWS, including enabling integration, reporting, analytics, and data governance.
- Completed or in-progress certifications in AWS and Snowflake is mandatory
- Proven knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery using traditional SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches).
- Experience working with DevOps frameworks to enable continuous integration and deployment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams like data science and information architecture to create best fit solution for the clients.
- Previous experience working with data, data environments, databases, large data sets possibly in a consulting environment.
