The Global Supply Chain team in Luxembourg has been on a journey to become recognized as a global expert in everything we do. These electronic solutions make working with us faster, more secure, and simpler than ever.
Role Purpose
As a Category Manager Core Network, you will support and drive the execution of the global category spending relating to Core Networks and Software. You will build close and valuable relationships with both Group and local partners and create efficiencies through the evaluation of spending data and deliver market-leading carrier management for all Vodafone markets. You will be encouraged to examine the existing suppliers' spending portfolio using data review and develop alternative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the agreed Category Strategy for Core Network and Software Category.
- Foster the commercial relationship with key strategic suppliers in the scope of Core Networks towards commercial innovation and 5G Technology Evolution.
- Develop the spending baseline, supplier market research, regional benchmarking, and sharing best practices.
- Drive consolidation and transformation activities across the supply chain.
- Achieve aspiring targets for savings across all products & services.
- Create opportunities for increased competition, through market research and review
- Support a large and varied internal partner network in the local markets and Group functions
- Promote and implement a wide range of procurement tools and reporting techniques.
- Ensure personal targets in operational efficiencies (eg. catalog management, supplier performance) are met.
- Improve operational productivity, using digital tools.
- Ensure cost reduction and centralization through standardization.
You must have...
- Business Degree or similar.
- Knowledge and experience in data research, creating trends, and identifying anomalies in data sets.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Can deal with an international, functional matrix environment with a certain degree of ambiguity.
- Business acumen: knows or will to get to know all about the competition, and the marketplace, and is knowledgeable in practices and trends.
- Working proficiency in a Second language next to fluency in English.
- Be a solid team player and have a growth mindset.
It would be nice if you have...
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Some experience working in a supply chain environment.
- Basic understanding of contracts and legal principles.
- Ability to manage, develop and motivate a complex virtual team, and ensure the successful delivery of financial targets.
- High self-motivation and an eagerness to deliver.
