Project Estimator Job Description, Duties & Responsibilities
The position of Project Estimator is a key staff position within the organisation.
A Project Estimators primary duty is to design, cost and manage shop installations to the standard and quality as laid down by the Company. It is expected the Project Estimator will carry out his/her duties in a timely and efficient manner.
The Project Estimatorwill need to be commercially astute and approach all installations with a primary focus on standard and quality. He/ She will need to exert sufficient job management skills to ensure the installation runs smoothly and on schedule.
A Project Estimatorwill be expected to liaise and communicate continuously with Suppliers, Sales and the Shop Fitters to ensure issues are resolved and all costs and hours are communicated and recorded. He / She must ensure all costs associated with the project installation are duly captured and incorporated in the project card.
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities
1. To ensure sufficient stock is on hand to carry out the installation.
Processing orders, internally and externally, and managing the shipping of goods to site.
Working with suppliers on value engineering and obtaining the best value for our clients.
4. Manage all installation documentation and workflows in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Ensure that the systems used are kept up to date on all projects.
To effectively manage the inputting of new stock items and monitor existing unit BOMs to ensure they are kept up to date.
Preparing Final Accounts for completed projects.
Ensuring all existing clients’ specifications are up to date.
9. To uphold the standards and reputation of Storefit at all time.
10. To ensure courtesy and respect is extends to Customers, Vendor’s and the general public at all times.
11. Any other duties requested by management.
