Field Consultant - 12 month contract [China]

We are now seeking applicants to join our Destination Services team in either Beijing or Tianjin in support of a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be supporting a portfolio of clients who require our services in both Beijing and Tianjin and travel will be required.

About the role:
In this role you are the primary point of coordination for assignees relocating into Beijing and Tianjin when it comes to the Destination Services component of their relocation within the agreed destination service program of the client.

Duties include but are not limited to;
1. Performing face to face field consultancy work such as attending home searches, city orientation, school searches and settling in requirements for the assignee.
2. Coordinate with all internal departments and functions as and when required to ensure successful assignee experience
3. Educate assignees and consultant on minor relocation issues that relate to the successful relocation of an assignee & family. In turn this may require you to communicate with the client HR team to support policy advice and exemptions where necessary.
4. Act as a subject mater expert in the local area to ensure they are able to handle potential expatriate issues in the international community for example housing market, international schools, public transportation & retailer information
5. Take control of and maintain information and documentation relating to the destination services carried out during the program and ensure the company systems are maintained.

The above responsibilities mean we are seeking an efficient and highly organised individual who will take pride and ownership of their role. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and capabilities:
  • 3-5 years experience in real estate, relocation, human resources and/or accounting or finance.
  • Ability to travel between Beijing & Tianjin as necessary and ensure they can do so as per assignee support.
  • Excellent communication and diplomatic skills: preferably with experience in living abroad and / or communicating with all levels of employees, and across cultures.
  • Prefer fluent English speaker plus one or more languages
  • Must have a strong customer service background with ability to build relationships, proven skills in project and service partner management are required.
  • Must be a Team player and self-starter with initiative and drive
  • Good computer skills - proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access)
