- To undertake operational duties with a focus on safety, security and fire services for the Mental Health Inpatient Unit on a roster covering day, afternoon and night shifts.
- Provide an effective, efficient and safe support service to clients and personnel within the facilities, whilst always maintaining client dignity, respect and confidentiality.
Adult Mental Health Services are comprised of community based and hospital inpatient components that provide a range of services to adults with severe mental disorders and or psychiatric disability residing within the geographical areas covered by Mackay City and immediate surrounds. The Mental Health Unit is located at the Mackay Base Hospital. It is a 20-bed low dependency unit and a 4- bed high dependency unit.
