The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's largest Digital hub for strategic tech projects.
Context
In order to support its growth, Edenred is building a team with skills related to data analysis / intelligence to dig into its information. Thus, we are looking for a Data Visualization Engineer to join the IT department in Bucharest, Romania.
Job description and key responsibilities
The candidate will participate in the development and support of the data visualization part of the data application, in corporation with the team located in Paris.
The Data department is developing some tools with a range from data analytics to data-science. Some departments are currently having an need to have better visibility and data based approached to supervise their activities.
The corporate finance department is the major one with recent request for having capabilities to perform data segmentation, drill-down or so over their data that are covering several thousand millions of records. Other operational system, more business oriented are also asking for advanced data visualization that requires usages of two solutions that are referred internally for such purpose:
- Datalake / Synapse / Pyspark for the data preparation of the data,
- Power BI, for data restitution of the data.
The current position is aimed at:
- Performing data preparation to design Datamart based on data, either that the candidate will have to bring to the Datalake whenever “simple” or already placed in the Datalake by Data Engineers of the team,
- Performing the design and implementation of Power BI part, with a clear focus on the design of the model.
The design of the reporting part in Power BI is often delegated to some key users. Still, the candidate will be asked to create some of them.
In its activities, the candidate will be assisted by:
- Our internal data engineers for all topics related to data acquisition, enrichment and cleansing.
- A Senior Data Visualization engineer, for all aspect regarding DataMart modelization and usage of Power BI.
In terms of contacts, the candidate will also collaborate with:
- IT and business teams responsible for each project.
- IT and business teams in charge of data analysis, data scientists or so.
Required skills & profile
The ideal candidate is a Data Engineer with at least 3 years of experience with a reporting tool.
Candidates will also have to demonstrate:
- 3+ years’ experience,
- 3+ years’ experience a reporting tool (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS…),
- Knowledge on SQL and NoSQL,
- Some knowledge of Azure or Cloud solutions would be a plus
